The flag will be up at Town Hall until the end of the month. Halton Women's Place created the flag-- End Violence Against Women-- in hopes to raise more awareness about the issue. Halton Women's Place is the only women's shelter in the Region with shelters in both Milton and Burlington. This month, along with Woman Abuse Prevention Month, they are organizing the Shine the Light Campaign, asking businesses to turn purple for the month.
