The Service's Drug, Gun and Gang Unit began an investigation in April into a group police believed were involved with trafficking cocaine and marijuana. The investigation revealed the network was well entrenched in the drug culture in Halton Region, Hamilton and Toronto. Halton Police say technology and counter-detection techniques used by the group were obstacles to the investigative team but it was able to unravel the lay- ers of the sophisticated drug trafficking operation. On Monday Halton Police, assisted by police from Hamilton, Waterloo, Niaga- ra, Peel and Durham as well as by Ontar- io Provincial Police executed 15 search warrants throughout Hamilton, Halton and Toronto. As a result 15 people are facing charg- es, and police say they have disrupted and possibly dismantled a drug traffick- ing network. Those charged were from the Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Hamil- ton and Toronto areas. Fifteen face charges in drug bust
