It seems to me, over the years, that he may not… Well, how does one say this nicely? I think he is suffering from mild dementia. I say this because he in- sists that he can deliver toys to all the chil- dren in only one night. I find this hard to believe. That's not a lot of time to hit every household. This is not all of what Old Saint Nick is touting either. He believes that in order to deliver on Christmas Eve, he avails himself of a sleigh pulled by reindeer! Here's the kicker. He says they can fly! Flying ungulates? Oh my! Without GPS guidance? This is getting se- rious. I don't want to come right out and say the old guy may be short a few cards in his deck, or not the sharpest pencil in the box, but really! He believes he is surrounded by elves. They toil night and day all year long in a workshop to make all these toys. Elves? Come on! Elves only exist in Lord of the Rings books and movies and are a nasty lot. Besides, what would incentivize them to work like this with no pay? His workshop is supposedly in the North Pole. Incredible! Mild dementia again! Climatologists are almost unani- mous that the Ice pack is shrinking. Not a great place for a manufacturing concern, I must say. When asked how old he is, he mumbles something about hundreds of years! Yikes! I'm just over 50 and am a wreck! My knees, hips, eyes, hair, and hearing are declining. And this guy claims to slide down chim- neys! Of course, I may be forgetting some- thing that explains it all. He has that spe- cial Christmas Magic that makes all things possible.
