Approximately 450 youths will receive items such as clothing, toi- letries and gift cards prior to the holidays and Links2Care's Cathy Gerrow said the giving program looks to support mid-teens who lack in necessities. As well, CVC organized a candy cane campaign in which holi- day wishes are granted to youths through the sponsorship and gen- erosity of the company's clients, staff and fellow business owners. Insurance companies give $2,000 to Links2Care Two new exhibitions are currently on display at the Town of Halton Hills Cultural Centre. In the Helson Gallery, Frank Black: Portrait of the Artist offers an overview of this celebrated George- town artist's lengthy career in both painting and commercial art. Several private collectors have lent art for the exhibition which runs until Feb. 1. The annual Holiday Show and Sale of work by local artists is on ex- hibit in the Sisnett Lobby of the Cul- tural Centre until Jan. 4. The show features a variety of fine art and craft pieces perfect for holiday gift giving including pottery, jewelry and wood carving. The Gallery is open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: 1-5 p.m. and on Thursdays: 1-8:30 p.m. The Cultural Centre will be closed on Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1. Admission is free.
