Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (affectionately known as CAShh) be- gan when the continuing need of providing practical services to the residents of Halton Hills who live with a cancer diagnosis was recognized. In 2014, 59 drivers volunteered their time and made 1,901 trips to and from doctors and hospital appointments, contributed 7,913 hours and travelled 199,653 kms to help CAShh clients. Over 280 canvassers and coordinators volunteered their time to knock on doors during the April "Give Where You Live" residential campaign and helped raise over $111,000 to continue to help those in need. Personal services assisted 687 clients from home support, wellness, special needs and patient aids and all of these services were provided at NO CHARGE to the clients of CAShh. Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills will be celebrating their 15th year of service to the residents of Halton Hills on Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Acton Legion. Contest organizers say, "There is an in- credible amount of talent out there, both amateur and professional, capturing sen- sational images from all corners of the globe. We want to find it, see it and show it to the world."
