The Georgetown Lions Club is looking for that person, couple or organiza- tion to honour as George- town's Citizen of the Year. The award can be giv- en to an individual, cou- ple, group or organiza- tion that has served our community as an outstand- ing volunteer, in sports, culture, health or social services. Many times the recipi- ents have volunteered in multiple organizations over many years. The Lions Club has presented this award annual since 1973 and each year the selection commit- tee is amazed at the level of commitment that these worthy volunteers have shown to the community. To nominate an outstanding volunteer, send a letter or if you prefer use our appli- cation form and return it to Lions Club Cit- izen of the Year, P.O. Box 73, Georgetown, L7G 4T1 or email dpenrice1@gmail. com by Feb. 20. Past nomina- tions are carried forward for two years and will be reconsidered.
