It's part of the latest renovations at St. Alban's, which involved upgrading its com- munity meeting spaces and the develop- ment of a state-of-the-art Community Kitchen. As a bonus, almost all the mate- rials and labour have been sourced locally by our contractor, Rob Charette (Touch of Class). In addition to St. Alban's already existing Community Outreach programs, such as the Winter Clothing bank, the weekly "Food for Life" free grocery distribution, and Ac- tiveChefs cooking program for children, church members are now busy developing new community partnerships with groups wanting to utilize the upgraded facilities. These include Halton Health Services who will be opening a Chronic Illness Man- agement and Diabetic Foot-care Program at St. Alban's and the Halton-Mississauga LHIN who will soon begin offering free Falls Prevention and Exercise classes for Seniors. The Anglican Bishop of Niagara the Right Reverend Michael Bird attended special service of Thanksgiving at St. Alban's Sun- day morning, followed by the Dedication of the renovations. After the Dedication there was a "Robbie Burns" luncheon served in the Main Parish Hall. Participating in the ribbon cutting are (from left to right) Tony Russell, Jim Garrett, Wellington-Hal- ton Hills MP Michael Chong, St. Alban's Reverend Brian Galligan, Bishop of Niagara the Right Rever- end Michael Bird, Peter Robart-Morgan, Trillium Foundation's Bill Alliston, Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott and Mayor Rick Bonnette.
