Photo by Jon Borgstrom The Dufferin Rural Heritage Community Cen- tre (DRHCC) will be offering its second annu- al "Walk & Talk" series beginning this month. This free program is available to all residents of Halton and Wellington. Every spring the DRHCC offers interest presentations in combination with active use of the sports field. Presentations cover general health, wellness, active living, as well as gardening tips. On these designated dates the centre welcomes new and regular participants to utilize the indoor turf space for walking, jogging laps, or any activity that "moves them", then stay to lis- ten to the free "Talk" portion that follows. This year our expert presentations will be provided by G.T.A. Home Health Care, Staying Alive Fitness, and Red's Gardening Centre. On Monday, Feb. 23, Nordixx Master In- structor Ginger Quinn talks about Why the Poles? Try the Poles from noon until 1 p.m. (come dressed to move). Don't feel like walking, just come for the talk. Walking will be done from 9 a.m. to noon with the "talk- ing" from noon until 1 p.m. Regularly the drop-in walking program is $2/adults but on these special days, new participants enter for free. Children are always free. The Dufferin Rural Heritage Community Centre is located in Prospect Park, 30 Park Ave., in Acton. 2015 Walk & Talk series kicks off on Feb. 23
