NEWS Town of Halton Hills Council has approved new Monday afternoon hours for the Georgetown Branch of the Halton Hills Pub- lic Library and Sunday afternoon hours for the Acton Branch during the school year. "We are pleased to be able to offer more access to our wonderful branches," said Jay Jackson, Library Board Chair. "In Acton, this provides a great new destination for a weekend family outing. In Georgetown, this opens up study space for students, well- equipped work areas for the self-employed, and comfortable leisure areas for adults and children." Effective March 1, the new hours in Georgetown will be 1-5 p.m. on Mondays. The new hours in Acton will be 1-5 p.m. on Sunday after- noons during the school year (Sep- tember - June). The Halton Hills Public Li- brary (HHPL) provides free access to best- selling books, eBooks and eReaders, newly released mov- ies, music and more. Every week, approximately 2,220 people come through the Library's doors, in addition to the more than 3,000 who visit Monday openings coming to Georgetown; Sundays in Acton electronically.
