She was fed by concerned people but circumstances prevented them from letting her into their house. Elsa survived by squish- ing herself up against the house doors and windows to absorb the available heat, and nightly disappearing to another location. Miraculously, she suf- fered no frost damage and has fully recovered from her ordeal. This pretty girl is less than a year old, has a healthy sleek coat, a boxy body and short tail. She enjoys attention and clearly communicates her "wants." Elsa doesn't mind being picked up and held but wants down when she deems cuddle time is over. Her eyes shine with mischief and her vivid torti colouring match her endearing sassy person- ality! Elsa is comfortable with the older cats in her foster home but finds the antics of the younger cats annoying. She welcomes the attention of strangers and is enjoying the comfort of indoors where she is content to watch the birds from inside. Molly is tagged as being a three-year- old, black and tan Coon- hound/Bloodhound cross, with a white patch on her chest, tipping the scales at about 75 lbs. Molly has lived her entire life in a barn and her future was uncertain when she did not match up to what a good hunting dog should be. Luck- ily she came to UCHS and what we have learned about Molly is for the most part positive; she just needs some fine tuning. Molly is very happy and accepting of other dogs, has proved to be clean in her kennel and has medium energy. Molly's new family will enjoy working with Molly on her basic commands, and will realize that learning to leash walk is another skill she is endeavour- ing to master. Molly, like the lyrics, probably "ain't nev- er caught a rabbit" and seems more interested in vocaliza- tions. Molly is a candidate for opera and likes to dem- onstrate her vocal range. She has been deemed a great girl, sweet, playful, loves people, would be fine with children 8+ or an adult-only family. Molly will be happy just spending time with you in a home catching up on the attention and cuddles that she has not had in her life so far. He has trust issues, any wonder? Turbulent shelter life is endured but it takes a while to trust people so a quiet home and a family willing to be patient and let Prince go at his own pace is desired. Once he learns you will not hurt him, and you have treats, you may be welcome, but al- though he sometimes hisses, he will take the treats right out of a hand. Another quiet resi- dent cat, or alone, no dogs, children 15+ would be the best match. Prince finds ref- uge in tight spaces, like a box, or hid- ing in the bottom of a cat tree (see photo). Sometimes Prince lets go and will play with toys but only if he feels no one is watching.
