Downtown Georgetown • 702-1116 www.rampullasmartialarts.com ENTERTAINMENT Opening March 20, Century Theatre Guild continues its season with an intriguing who- dunit, Dead on Nine by Jack Popplewell. The play is entered in the ACTCO Festival. Set in a quiet little fishing village in post- war England, Dead on Nine is a classic mur- der mystery chock full of twists and turns. Frustrated playwright Robert Leigh and his scheming, restless wife Esmeralda engage in a proverbial game of cat-and-mouse, weav- ing a web of lies, revenge, and premeditated murder. Throw in a dedicated personal secre- tary, a WWII veteran playboy and a seasoned detective and you have the makings of a great evening of entertainment. Directed by Martyn Worsnop, this sus- penseful mystery boasts a stellar cast of char- acters: McLean Edwards as playwright Robert Leigh; Jennifer Bartrum as his restless wife Esmeralda; Ken Noakes as detective Richard Farrow; Acton teacher Doug MacDougall as playboy Tom Hammond; Kathy Venneman as secretary Marion Dale; and Lorraine Hick- ling as housekeeper Gladys Fotheringhay, with a special cameo appearance by Martyn Worsnop as entertainer Leslie Booth. Dead on Nine runs March 20-29 at the Century Church Theatre in Hillsburgh, Fri- days and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, and can be reserved by calling the box office at 519-855-4586. En- joy a special 3-course Sunday Lunch at The Pantry Shelf in Hillsburgh for $20 including tax; this must be prebooked with your tickets. Acton teacher co-stars in Century Church theatre play Ken Noakes, as the classic English sleuth, addresses the suspects (Kathy Venneman, McLean Ed- wards and Doug McDougall) in the murder mystery "Dead on Nine", playing at Century Church Theatre, Hillsburgh, March 20-29.
