Local Motion Fitness ACTON'S PREMIUM FITNESS STUDIO ENTERTAINMENT Local and aspiring songwriters will have an opportunity to learn and refine their song- writing skills with the launch of a new work- shop titled Finding Your Inner Songwriter on Saturday, March 21, 12-5 p.m. at the Glen Wil- liams Town Hall. This workshop is writ- ten, presented and led by local songwriter Bruce Madole, the performing host and co-producer of the Source of the Song acoustic songwriter's se- ries. "I've been writing songs for over 30 years, and led songwriter develop- ment critiques for over ten years as a volun- teer Coordinator with the Nashville Songwrit- ers Association International (NSAI)," says Madole. "All of that is valuable, and we're cov- ering a bit of that during this session, but I've found that people don't know how to focus on what makes them strongest and most unique as writers. That's what I'm trying to address with the first-time offering of this workshop." Those who have attended the Source of the Song concert series will find the work- shop venue, in the Glen Williams Town Hall, quite familiar territory. "The original work- shop idea has grown, in part, out of many con- versations I've had dur- ing Source of the Song events," says Madole. "In fact, these two events are very nearly consecutive, because we're putting on Source of the Song 30 on the following Saturday afternoon, in Terra Cotta." For details about the Finding Your Inner Songwriter workshop, contact brucemad- ole@sympatico.ca or call 905-459-9753 to en- roll. Cost of the workshop is $50.
