COMMUNITY So glad spring has arrived, at least by the calendar date. Looks like a busy season for the Hillsview Active Living Centre, George- town. Our Annual Pancake Breakfast was a HUGE success! Thanks to Ellie and her team who worked to perfection even making sure the lines on the table cloths matched. Thanks to everyone who put it out on their Facebook accounts. We needed the help with advertising. The next date for the Door2Door lunch is Wednesday, April 8. The cost is $10 and you must pay when you sign up at Reception. Easter Chocolate Sale is today (Thursday, April 2) from 9 a.m. to noon at 318 Guelph St. There are handmade chocolates in all shapes and sizes. Forget about the waistline! Also today (April 2), we are holding our Annual General Meeting. This is your op- portunity to get caught up with changes at the Centre. If you are unable to attend you can get a proxy vote from the Office, fill it out and give to a member who can cast a ballot for you. This year we are voting for only one new member to the Board of Directors. Tickets are on sale at Reception for the upcoming Fashion Show on May 11. This may sound early but remember there are no tickets available at the door and we find this is a popular event at your Centre. Spring Sessions of our Active Living Pro- grams begin the week of April 6. Have you registered? Once more I remind you if insuf- ficient numbers register the program will be cancelled. The Travel Desk has also been very busy. The trip to Oh CANADA Eh! Dinner Theatre is sold out. We need a minimum of six more people to sign for the African Safari Trip on Tuesday, May 15. Includes a bus ride through the grounds among the animals, buffet lunch, and an opportunity in the af- ternoon to see some of the animals being trained. See you at the AGM! Just a reminder the Centre is closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Happy Easter everyone.
