The College can help. NEWS Three Brampton women have been charged with theft after attempting to leave a local grocery store with nearly $2,500 in merchandise Sunday night. At around 6:50 p.m., the group of females was observed removing cosmetics from their packag- ing while inside the Real Canadian Superstore on Guelph St. in Georgetown. The suspects then left the store without at- tempting to pay for the items and were arrested as they tried to load the stolen goods into a vehicle. A total of $2,450.87 worth of merchandise ranging from groceries, clothes and cosmetics was returned to the store. Charged with theft under $5,000 are Renata Fatakova, 35, Helena Fatakova, 64, and Nancy Stojkova, 18. On Monday, March 30, Halton Regional Po- lice officers from the #1 District Response Unit were focusing on the enforcement of suspended and prohibited drivers operat- ing motor vehicles within Milton when they spotted a suspended driver driving away from a provincial courthouse. He was subsequently arrested and had- his vehicle seized. Rae Chang, 45, of Acton has been charged with two counts of Driving While Suspend- ed. Officers will continue to target those in- dividuals that pose an increased risk to law abiding motorists within the Towns of Mil- ton and Halton Hills. Halton Regional Police are investigating a break and enter to a residence on Apple Blossom Cres. in Halton Hills that occurred on Friday, March 27. Police were called to the residence after receiving report of an entry that had oc- curred sometime during the day while the residents were at work. Suspect(s) forced the front door open and once inside the home stole jewelry and small electronics. Police are seeking witnesses in the area that may have observed anything suspicious in and around the time of this entry. Residents are also reminded to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity, such as unusual persons or vehicles, to police. Halton Police taking part in Easter seatbelt campaign A utility trailer stolen from a residence in Halton Hills resurfaced in an ad on Kijiji, leading to an arrest. On Saturday the owner of the 5x8' home- made utility trailer noticed it missing from his property. A short time later, the trailer was listed for sale on Kijiji by someone claiming to be the owner. The real owner confirmed the trailer list- ed for sale was in fact his. On Wednesday Halton Police located the seller who was arrested and charged.
