In fact mornings are very active and very diverse during the "Drop into Dufferin Morning Program". This program operates from 9 a.m. until noon, Monday through Friday, January through to May on a "drop in" basis for the residents of Acton, Georgetown, Milton, Rockwood and surrounding nearby towns. There are plenty of active minded adults whom access the centre on a regular basis for walking, jogging, pole-walking, and a bit of badminton. Children visit free of charge and utilize the indoor sport field to burn off some youthful energy on the large turf area. In the spring, however, the Dufferin Com- munity Centre is also a learning centre. Dur- ing March and April, a series of special inter- est workshops is held as a supplement to the active portion of the morning. Labelled as the "Walk and Talk" series, various local businesses have teamed up with Dufferin Centre manager, Betty Walsh to host work- shops that highlight each busi- ness. Participants get an "added value" morning of activity plus infor- mation regarding the services offered. On Monday, April 13, Walk & Talk will fea- ture Mike Tessaro from Reds Garden Centre, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tessaro will be sharing some of his favourite choices for your garden, give tips and help solve any gardening problems. A question and answer forum will complete his presentation. Need more information? Call the Dufferin Community Centre at 519-853-9989. Garden tips to be offered at April's Walk and Talk
