"We are delighted with the results.  Jake Holmes and Cameron Bedard gave gener- ously of their time and talents to help us out," said Scott Barclay, President of HHDog. Andrea Clement, HHDog Membership Coordinator, reached out to the high school late last fall, unsure if students had the know- how to develop a modern website from start to finish, but she was quickly reassured be- cause "Jake kept us educated and up-to-date through every step, and was highly profes- sional in his approach." At website www.hhdog.com, the com- mittee can now post photos, take online memberships and payments, and have links to Youtube videos and their own Facebook page.  They can also post news about upcom- ing projects such as better lighting and shel- ters for the two dog parks in Prospect Park (Acton), and Cedarvale Park (Georgetown). "Thanks to these young people, we've now been brought into the 21st century," said Kev- in Vieyra, Project Coordinator for HHDog. "Because of Mr. Skrovonek, computer teacher at GDHS and the students, we have all learned a great deal about the latest technol- ogy and website development infrastructure, and we are inspired that youth are willing to offer their skills to community projects." HHDOG is actively seeking new mem- bers and volunteers.  The leash-free parks are open to all dog owners and their pets. Any- one using the leash-free parks is urged to get involved and visit the new website at hhdog. com. Meetings are usually held once a month and details will now be posted on the new website.
