An important part of this relationship is good communication. To get the best out of your visit with your eye care professional, ask questions and continue to do so until you understand. It is also helpful to write down the questions before your visit, and write down what your eye care professional says. Today, patients takean active role in their health care. Owners and Speech-Language Pathol- ogists, Lisa Gombocz and Lisa McLen- nan, have provided speech and language services in Georgetown and surrounding areas for many years and saw a need for these services for local families. "We felt strongly that it was important for families to have the convenience of ac- cessing these services in the community," explained Lisa Gombocz. If you have concerns regarding your child's speech and language develop- ment, the clinicians would be happy to discuss your concerns with you over the phone. Daytime and after-school ap- pointments are available. A physician's referral is not required and speech and language services are often covered un- der employee benefit packages.
