On May 2 at about 11:15 a.m., a woman was observed removing two Hummingbird jugs and a birdfeeder from the shelf before walking out of the store without paying for the merchandise. The woman was approached in the park- ing lot by a theft prevention officer and told she was under arrest, but the suspect got into her vehicle and left the area. Halton Regional Police later located the woman and she was placed under arrest. Charged with theft under $5,000 is Laurie Wright, 41. ****** Firefighters responded to a two-vehicle col- lision at Guelph and Mill Sts. about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. They arrived on scene with ambulance staff. Firefighters stabilized the vehicles and assisted with patient care. One patient was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
