She is respectful, responsible and resil- ient and is involved in every aspect of school life. She readily volunteers her time and skills and actively seeks out leadership opportunities. She partici- pates in a wide variety of activities and clubs including office helpers, mathletes, the school band, and plays on a number of school teams. Annika successfully achieves the highest standards in academics and sports. Annika has demonstrated a strong sense of commitment and responsibility to all of her academic, athletic, community and leadership endeavours and in so doing, represents the highest stan- dard of excellence at Brookville Public School. Noah Korhonen Centennial Noah, a Grade 8 student, is a hard- working, dedicated student and lead- er. He is a fabulous role model for his peers. Noah is extremely polite, always positive and very enthusiastic. He is very outgoing and reliable, and is an absolute delight to teach. It is clear he enjoys learning and will go beyond the required research to satisfy expecta- tions and his curiosity. He motivates and supports others to try their best by and is involved at school with school leaders, school tech. teams, dance DJ, band, office helpers, snack bar team, ro- botics team and takes part in baseball outside of school. He is truly deserving of the student of excellence. Kaelah McLennan Ethel Gardiner Kaelah, a Grade 8 student, is a kind, hardworking and considerate student who consistently strives to achieve her best in her school life as well as personal life. Her posi- tive attitude and perseverance let her excel in all academic areas. Kaelah is an enthusi- astic and encouraging member of class. Her peers see her as a leader and enjoy being around her as they appreciate her calm, caring and quiet disposition. Kaelah strives to be involved in the school at all levels and some of those include team sports, Battle of the Books and safe school action team. She seeks challenges and tries to learn from them, and through all this, she never stops smiling. Connor Phillips George Kennedy Connor in Grade 5 is our student chosen for the Student of Excellence 2014-2015. He is a French Immersion student who is one of the top academ- ics in his class. He has a wonderfully positive attitude toward learning, and a natural curiosity that lends itself to his academic success. Connor is actively involved in school activities such as cross- country, basketball, volleyball, Think Bowl, Enrichment Club and Track and Field. He has been chosen as a representative of French Immersion to speak to parents about the program. He is a wonderful role model for the younger students at the school. His mature, caring approach with teachers, peers and other community members has enabled him to become an excellent mentor to others within the school and the Georgetown com- munity. He has a calm, reasonable approach when facing chal- lenges, and always thinks carefully about how others might feel in every situation. Connor's future is bright due to his amazing character and his consistent hard work. Joanna Wittich Glen Williams Joanna, a Grade 5 student, was selected because of her exem- plary effort, attitude and academic achievement. She demonstrates all the components of our Tribes agree- ments and treats everyone with re- spect and courtesy as well as being a positive role model for her peers. Caroline Holicka Holy Cross Caroline is a natural leader amongst her peers and within the school. Her actions are led by her strong faith in God and her commit- ments to Catholicity in all personal and school-related activities.
