Radiant heat had caused the fire to spread to a house on the property. Both the barn and home had been abandoned for some time. Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 4:15 a.m. but responded back about 8:50 a.m. because hot spots had reignited the fire. At that time flames were visible in both the barn foundation, some of the remain- ing structure and hay bales. Crews put out the fire, and continued to check for hotspots throughout the day. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is undetermined, and there is no damage estimate as the prop- erty was abandoned. Fire destroys abandoned barn, home in Acton area
