The Old Armoury will be celebrating its 150th birthday next year, having been con- structed in 1866 as a drill hall for the local militia. The building was the rallying point for soldiers serving in both World Wars and was home to the Lorne Scots until 1997. Globe Productions, a not-for-profit mu- sical theatre group, began the rescue of The Old Armoury in 2009 as a home for rehears- als of its youth and adult shows, summer theatre camps and workshops.
