HAVING A BLAST: The President's Choice SuperDogs brought their traveling road show to Christ the King Secondary School earlier this month for its annual Summer Blast festivities and to raise awareness for the Upper Credit Humane Society. Forty-two dogs, about 40 per cent of which were adopted from rescues, shelters and humane societies, put on a daz- zling display of tricks and dance routines in front of about 300 spectators. It was a record turnout for the seventh- annual Summer Blast, which featured several other activities that were open to the public. The SuperDogs' show was organized by CtK's Eco Team and raised about $200 for the Upper Credit Humane Society, but more importantly, several people indicated an interest in adopting a pet or volunteering at the shelter. This was also the first time the SuperDogs have performed at a high school in Halton for a charitable cause.
