Bob was born July 4th, 1938 to Thomas and F l o r e n c e ( C h a n n i n g ) B r o w n i n Toronto, Ontario. After graduating high school, Bob joined the RCAF in 1958 and served as a fighter pilot. He left the military in 1965 and enjoyed a long career as an airline pilot for Air Canada, until his retirement in 1998. During retirement, Bob continued touring the world, visiting family and friends, attending airline and air force reunions, enjoying summers at the cottage, and winters in Florida. He will be remembered for his gentle humour and infectious smile. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Paddy (Maitland), his parents, and his two brothers, Thomas and William. Bob is survived by his wife Karin (Wilson) Brown; his children Joel (Lisa) Brown, Ian (Angie) Brown, Trevor (Julie) Brown, Jeff Wilson, Susan (Greg) Sage and John (Celia) Wilson; his eight grandchildren; sister-in-law's June (Larry) Hill and Marg Maitland; his cousin Pat (George) Fox; his nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours... and his two "grand-dogs", Mercy and Wyatt. Friends were received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Beloved husband of Elaine for 26 years, Gino was the proud father of Kaila and Angelo. Loving son of Angelo and the late Incoronata Colavecchia; dearest brother of Bruno Colavecchia and Pina (Ron Ballantyne). Jean was fondly remembered by many of the young people that she taught over the years as a quiet, kind and very encouraging teacher. During her last two years when she resided at Tansley Woods retirement home she taught the young women who cared for her to knit. She remained a quietly encouraging teacher to the end. A private gathering of family and friends will be held on July 26th in Toronto. HANDY, Mary Bertha (nee Hunter) Peacefully on Thursday July 16th, 2015 at the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, Owen Sound. Mary, formerly of Georgetown, in her 73rd year, beloved wife of Jack for 54 years. Loving mother of Mark and his wife Fiona. Dear sister of Betty and Marlene. She is survived by her sisters, Beverley Morrow, Linda Morrow and Sharon Morrow. She joins her brother, Kenneth Morrow, in heaven. She is also survived by her four children, Garret, Kelly, Shayne and Gene. She leaves behind six grandchildren and six great grandchildren whom she loved and adored. She also cherished her many pets that she always called her children. Predeceased by his wife Zoe, survived by his 3 children, David, (Shirley Carter) Douglas, (Tricia Anderson) and Kathy, (Ugo Orlandi) as well as 6 grandchildren Peter, Jon, Sarah, Michael, Alison, and Matthew. John was the 4th child of a prosperous Norfolk butcher. He graduated from Cambridge in 1938, a n d w a s g r a n t e d a t e a c h i n g certificate in 1939. He served in the Royal Signals Regiment from 1940 until 1945 when he was discharged as a Major. He then joined the Civil Service, and married a Canadian, Zoe , in London in 1950 . They emigrated to Canada in 1951 and John worked in sa les , both in Toronto and Brantford. In late 1956 he took his winnings from a second place ticket in the Irish Sweepstakes, and went back into teaching math, first for 2 years in Smiths Falls and then in Georgetown. He retired in 1981 and moved to Surrey BC, then to West Vancouver . He was a charming man who gladly served on a variety of boards, including the Georgetown L ibrary Board. He enjoyed books, art and opera, and, until he lost his hearing, the theatre. He was inclined to be industrious and particularly proud of having built a cottage near Rideau Ferry and his large gardens in Georgetown a n d S u r r e y . H e w a s a n e a r l y environmentalist and family historian. Memorial service in North Vancouver, flowers gratefully declined. Donations if desired to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. WILLSON, Ruby Reseda May 27, 1927-July 9, 2015 Always on our mind, forever in our hearts. Ruby passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the age of 88 in her home in Georgetown, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of late Gordon McKenzie Willson, proud loving mother of Karen Jessup (Scott), Valerie Willson, Bob (Bev), and Cheryl Hector (Dave). Ruby will forever be cherished in the hearts of her six grandchildren, Tracey (Donny), Rob (Jill), McKenzie, Kaylie, Jacob and M e a g h a n , a n d f i v e g r e a t - grandchildren Mikaela, Madison, McKenzie, Sawyer and Holden.
