S.-- a major artery through Georgetown-- in both directions at Hungry Hollow for hours. An excavator belonging to a construction crew working in the southbound lanes of Mounta- inview at Eden Place apparently struck an eight-inch main just before 3 p.m. There was a loud hissing noise coming from the site as members of the Halton Hills Fire Depart- ment stood by and Halton Re- gional Police officers maintained the road closure. Traffic was diverted at Barber Dr. to the south and Delrex Blvd. on the north side, with major traf- fic tie-ups occurring for hours. Police said the road was re- opened at midnight. JABBED WITH A FORK A Georgetown man is facing assault charges after an argu- ment became physical Tuesday evening at Dominion Gardens, with a young male being jabbed with a fork. Halton Regional Police re- sponded to a call on Harding Dr. in which two young males were in the midst of a dispute. One of the men had been stabbed with a fork but was not seriously injured. Charged with two counts of assault and one count of assault with a weapon is 20-year-old Cody Croft-McLeod.
