GLT Youth Company to kick off its 13th season The Georgetown Little Theatre Youth (GLT-YC), invites new and returning members, ages 10- 18, to register for another exciting year of the- atre on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1p.m. The GLTYC meets on most Saturdays throughout the school year. The annual mem- bership fee is $20. Workshops are held Saturday afternoons and some mornings. The fee for the workshops is $10 per workshop or $40 for the whole package. (That works out to $5 per work- shop). The fall workshops are aimed at the actor's craft, i.e. voice, characterization, along with directing and stage management. The spring workshops are free and are about building the spring production, i.e. costume design and construction, set building, painting and light- ing as well as stage make-up. Interested adults are always welcome to join GLT and attend workshops. The Youth Co. has two performance oppor- tunities each season. The Y1A- Youth One Acts, will be performed Nov. 26-28. Auditions will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A prepared monologue and a photo/headshot is required. Auditions for the spring performance will be held in December. Rehearsals may be held on weeknights as well as Saturdays. The Youth Co. was established in 2004, headed up by a team of supportive volunteers who love doing theatre and enjoy working with young people. They welcome anyone who shares those interests.
