Photo courtesy of Michelle Shorgan WPEC volunteer party recognizes team players for commitment Willow Park Ecology Centre is a wonderful community-based nature reserve located at the confluence of the Credit River and Silver- Creek in Norval. WPEC is an amazing local resource, and a successful outdoor education and recre- ation centre within Halton Hills. It was estab- lished 17 years ago through a partnership of the Town, volunteer Board of Directors and Credit Valley Conservation. The Board of Directors is grateful for all volunteers that partook in the 2015 Volun- teers Grow with Willow Park Mentorship Program. Student Volunteer of the Year Mitchell Shorgan was a key player in the new Active Use Area fence building. Anthony Barr was acknowledged for his regular park attendance to lead Drum Circles and Elise Houghton was thanked for her dedication to help deliver a meaningful Outdoor Edu- cation Program. Event sponsors: Domino's Pizza, Heather's Bakery Café, Norval Pan- cake Factory Restaurant, SilverCreek Café, Tim Horton's, Wastewise Community Re- source Centre.
