Based on Dang's behaviour police formed the belief that Dang was actively producing methamphet- amine at this residence with the as- sistance of Michael Clark, Beverly Balfour and Bing Quan Wen. Halton Police executed three search warrants in Brampton, To- ronto and Markham on Oct. 29. With the assistance of clan- destine lab teams from the Peel Regional Police and the Ontario Provincial Police, an active meth- amphetamine lab was discovered at Midsummer Dr. home. While searching the residence, investigators located a 9 mm handgun with a loaded 19 round magazine, three large buckets of pills containing ephedrine tablets, 24,000 empty packages of ephed- rine pills, volatile chemicals and glassware used in the production of methamphetamine and 5 kilo- grams of finished crystal metham- phetamine with a street value of approximately $250,000.Smaller amounts of heroin, cannabis resin and other unknown substances were also located. With the assistance of the OPP, Peel Regional Police, Brampton Fire Department, and Peel EMS, investigators carefully dismantled the methamphetamine lab over the course of two days. Due to the hazardous chemicals used during the process of producing metham- phetamine, great care was under- taken to ensure the safety of the surrounding neighbours and for the investigating emergency crews, police said.
