Hopefully we will see many of you at the Christmas Fair and lunch on Saturday. We will start a little earlier than in other years this year due to the Santa Claus Parade. We will be having our annual Christmas Dinner and Dance at Blue Springs Golf Course on Dec. 10 and tickets are available now. Jay Nielson will pro- vide the entertainment. We will be offering a free bus ride to the event if there is enough interest. Pick up points will be: the arena carpark, Church/ Maria Street Apartments, Elizabeth Apartments and Birchway Apartments. If you would like a ride please sign the appropriate sheet. Pickup times will be announced later. Still in the holiday spirit Halton Hills will be Light up the Hills on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. The trees along Hwy. 7 adjoining the arena will be a dazzling display. Come out and join in the festivities. Once again Hillsview Active Living Centre is taking part in the Holiday Hamper Program through Links2Care. If you would like to help in any way the unwrapped items needed are chil- dren: pyjamas, socks, underwear, toiletries, sham- poo, gift cards from Giant Tiger or Shoppers Drug Mart. For seniors: nightwear, housecoat, sweat- ers, toiletries, shampoo, boxed cookies, gift cards, small appliances etc. There is a tote box near the office to collect these items and items must be here by Friday, Dec. 11. If you are donating a gift card please do not drop it in the box, but give it to the receptionist. Book lovers please note the monthly Tuesday evening book club will be on Tuesday Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. not Nov. 24 as printed in our newsletter. (This would have been the same evening as the Acton Seniors Christmas Dinner sponsored by the Acton Legion and Rotary). SALT will be having a presentation called It's Not Right on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 1:30 p.m. Come out and learn how to change our attitudes and our responses in how we talk, deal and respect each other. Lunch on Friday, Nov. 20 will be pizza and salad. This will free up the kitchen so we can get a headstart on some of the prep work for the lunch on Saturday at the Christmas Fair. It will be our usual great selection of sandwiches and delicious squares and cookies, plus tea or coffee. Friday lunch on Nov. 27 will be soup and sandwiches.
