The proposed amendment applications apply to the lands legally described as Part of Lot 20, Concession 8, former Esquesing Township, Town of Halton Hills, Regional Municipality of Halton. The subject lands are municipally known as 12 Lindsay Court (Georgetown), Town of Halton Hills. Note: these applications are being processed concurrently with related applicationsD09OPA12.002 & D14ZBA12.009 for 8 & 10 Lindsay Court and 13758 & 13764 Highway 7, Georgetown, which have been appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board. Below is a map showing the location of the subject property to which the proposed amendments would apply. The purpose and effect of the amendment applications are to permit medium density housing units in the form of back-to-back and conventional townhomes within a common element condominium on the subject lands. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of Halton Hills in respect of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendment applications, you must make a written request to the Town of Halton Hills - PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT & SUSTAINABILITY Office at 1 Halton Hills Drive, Halton Hills, Ontario L7G 5G2. This is the eighth year of lighting up the Do- minion Gardens Park. Over the past eight years, three Trees of Hope have been planted and decorated; one each in Georgetown, Acton and Glen Williams. Celebrations and Ignition Ceremonies will take place in each community on Tuesday, Dec. 1 to celebrate the festive season; Ignition 7 p.m. In Georgetown and Acton, Santa will arrive at 5:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras to take that special picture. Included in the evening are special treats and entertainment. The Lions Club and Tim Hortons (Sprinter Van) are generous suppliers of special treats in Georgetown. The entire evening is sponsored by Dufferin Aggregates. In Georgetown convenient parking is available at the Christ the King High School. In Acton, McDonalds, Terra Cotta Cookies and Maple Lodge Farms are supplying the free goodies. Glen Williams celebrations start at 6:30 p.m. Treats and entertainment are supplied by Mc- Donalds and Preston's. Light Up The Hills is an organization that is composed of dedicated, hard-working volun- teers, very generous donors and numerous in- kind services. The Memory Trees are features in the Do- minion Gardens Park. Many families have pur- chased special Christmas balls that are tagged to remember loved ones and placed on the Mem- ory Trees. Again, this year unique knitted creations will be displayed in Dominion Gardens Park. Check out the colourful tree trunks and Candy Lane poles. Halton Hands in Motion have worked diligently to add the delightful yarn installations to the celebrations.
