Residences on the following streets were investigated during the week for CO alarm activations: • Johnson Cres., Georgetown • Longfield Rd., Acton • Nixon Cres., Georgetown • Weber Dr., Georgetown Responders also attended to a couple fire alarm activations, one on Miller Dr. in Georgetown and one on Eighth Line. On Nov. 25, fire fighters responded to an odour investigation on Eighth Line, north of 10 Sideroad. On scene, the smell of chlorine was present, prompting staff to investigate. An exhaust fan from the pool area was not working. The fan is scheduled to be repaired. The department's weekly safety message: having a home fire escape plan is one of the best ways to ensure you and your loved ones get out safely in case of fire.
