Betty-Anne Whipp took over ownership of Georgetown Yarn last year, and with the help of many contributors, is carry- ing on the tradition by sewing together 71 blankets for this holiday season that will be do- nated to Links2Care, The Salva- tion Army and Halton Women's Place. "The people who make the squares for the blankets get as much satisfaction as those who receive them," said Whipp. Since 1997, approximately 2,000 blankets have been donat- ed to local charities. By Eamonn Maher emaher@theifp.ca Betty-Anne Whipp of Georgetown Yarn has 71 blankets that are going to be donated to The Salvation Army, Halton Women's Place and Links2Care later this week. The blankets were made with the handiwork of several contributors in the area.
