A FROSTY MORNING From our readers Christmas is a time for family As the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Wellington-Halton Hills, it is my distinct pleasure to wish everyone in our riding the very best at Christmas. In our home, Christmas is the most special time of the year. It is the time for gathering together with family and friends. It is also the time for giving and sharing the joy, peace and love of the season. For Christians, it is the time to cel- ebrate and give thanks for the birth of Christ. His teaching and example call us to love and care for one another, not just at Christmas time, but all year round. I want to thank all who volunteer with our many community service or- ganizations, for their caring efforts to reach out to those in need. Let's continue to support them, and do whatever we can to ensure that ev- eryone has a Merry Christmas this year. ***** Again this coming January, my wife Lisa and I are planning three free fam- ily skates on successive Sunday after- noons. On Sunday, Jan. 10, we look forward to seeing every- one at Mold-Mas- ters SportsPlex in Georgetown from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. Then, on Sun- day, Jan. 17, we will be at the Acton Arena and Com- munity Centre from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The following week, on Sunday, Jan. 24, we are plan- ning to be in Aberfoyle at the Optimist Recreation Centre outdoor rink from 2-4 p.m. Please join us for a fun afternoon of skating. ***** Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Ar- nott welcomes your comments. He can be reached at 1-800-265-2366. His website is www.tedarnottmpp.com. Built in 1901 for John Sykes of Sykes and Ainley Manufacturing Company, it's named for E.Y. Barraclough, manager, then owner of the Glen Woolen Mills Company.
