Parents of senior kindergarten stu- dents are encouraged to check with their child's school for specific dates. The information sessions will enable parents to learn about the transitions from an early learning environment to a Grade 1 classroom. During the sessions, principals and teachers will share information about the classroom learning approaches used for reading, mathematics concepts and French-language instruction. "Understanding the reading and writing learning expectations for Grade 1 students is important information for all parents as it supports them in helping their children at home.
