A Gallup survey reports the average North American household has four Bibles. However, research by Pew Fo- rum on Religion and Public Life (2008) found that only 16 per cent of North Americans read the Bible every day. St. Andrew's United Church, Georgetown is hoping to reverse this trend, starting with its own con- gregation. Rev. Williams believes that "BELIEVE", a Zondervan publi- cations best-seller, is the right tool to increase Biblical literacy, and deep- en your relationship with God. The BELIEVE series is a follow up program to the highly suc- cessful "THE STORY" Program which impacted the lives of people in our church community and millions of people around the world. Grounded in Scripture, BELIEVE is a unique discipleship experience that helps Christians of all ages become more like Jesus in their beliefs, actions, and character. This topical abridge Bible illuminates the core beliefs of the Christian faith to help you think, act and be more like Christ. The BELIEVE experience includes books of carefully selected Scripture for adults, students, and kids; a companion book for discipleship and growth; a storybook and coloring book for children; and curriculum for every age group. All editions of BELIEVE unpack 30 big ideas of the Bible: 10 key beliefs, 10 key practices, and 10 key virtues of a Christian, so your whole family can learn to be more like Jesus together. These books will be available for purchase at the church on Sundays. "I want the people in my con- gregation, as well as the commu- nity of Georgetown to realize the incredible love God has for them and how their story is found in His story," said Rev. Williams Participants can engage in the "BELIEVE- THE STORY" Program through Sunday Worship Servic- es, Sunday School, and Small group study experi- ences on Tuesday nights and Thursday Mornings. St. Andrew's would like to invite you to expe- rience the "Believe-The Story" series starting this Sunday. Sunday services begin at 10 a.m. For more information, visit www.standrewsuc.ca or call 905-877-4482. The church is located at 89 Moun- tainview Rd. S. St. Andrew's asks you to Believe REV. GRANT WILLIAMS
