The next Birthday Tea is scheduled for March 15 and will celebrate February, March and April birthdays. Sixty-six people enjoyed the Social dinner on Monday, Jan. 11. The next social dinner will be on Tuesday, Feb. 16 and will have a Masquer- ade theme, so dig out the masks and beads. The dinner that night will be Swiss Chalet chicken. On Monday, Jan. 25 there will be another Reach Out event, a Caribbean dinner with en- tertainment. The purpose of the Reach Out din- ners is to encourage friends and neighbours who aren't members to join us that evening. Jan. 26 is a busy day. We have the men's breakfast club in the morning. The nutrition cooking class in the afternoon and the monthly Book Club in the evening. After the holidays everyone is looking at los- ing the few pounds or inches they put on over the holiday period. Once the weather gets colder we aren't quite as active. Hillsview has the answer to your problem. This month's draw is a wonderful item valued at $80.This makes it well worth the $1 per ticket or 3 for $2. It would make a great gift for you or to give a special person. The draw takes place on Jan. 29. The weekly 50/50 draw was drawn on Friday Jan. 8. The member whose name was drawn had not put their loonie in the box. Next week the amount to win should be around $400. Don't forget if you haven't renewed your mem- bership for 2016 your name has been removed from the drum. Friday lunch on Jan. 22 will be soup and sandwiches-- perfect for wintry weather.
