While there are many Tim Hortons and Fit For Life locations in hospitals throughout Canada, Georgetown is the first in which the restaurants have joined forces in the same floor space. "On behalf of the staff, the physicians, patients, their families and everybody who spends time here, this is such a great initiative. It's very difficult to leave the hospital to go out and get something because of the parking and the distance it takes to find a place to find food or a coffee from here," said Georgetown Hospital chief operating officer Cindy McDonell. The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on week- ends. A holiday schedule has yet to be determined.
