Pg. 5 Guelph St. was closed between Georgetown and Norval for much of the afternoon Tuesday follow- ing a head-on crash between two vehicles at about 1 p.m. Halton Regional Police Sgt. Co- lin Grierson said the two lone oc- cupants of each vehicle-- a Hyun- dai Santa Fe SUV and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup-- were rushed to hospital. As of Wednesday morning, the driver of the Santa Fe was reported to be still in hospital with non- life-threatening injuries, while the pickup truck driver remained in Georgetown Hospital in serious but stable condition. Both drivers had to be extri- cated from their vehicles by the Halton Hills Fire Department. Pre- liminary investigation indicated that one of the vehicles crossed the centre median. Debris from the vehicles was strewn all over the four-lane road- way. It was not snowing at the time of the collision, although bitterly cold temperatures and strong winds swept through the area. � e HRPS collision reconstruc- tion unit was on scene for several hours investigating the incident. Early reports from the crash scene indicate that an o� -duty nurse attended to the victims.
