COMMUNITY First off there is a correction regarding the Art Workshop. The date has been changed to Saturday, Feb. 13, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost of $45 per member or $50 per non/member is still the same. Please pay when you sign up at Reception. The Centre is offering a Speaker Series through the auspices of The Village of River Glen from Guelph. The first in the series, Falls Prevention, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. to be hosted by kinesiologist. Light refreshments will be offered. Sign up is at Reception. Again we are partnering with Links- 2Care to offer luncheons once a month. The cost will be $10 per lunch. They begin on Feb. 22 serving cabbage rolls, salad, roll, coleslaw, dessert, and tea/coffee. Please pay at Reception when you sign in. A minimum of 15 participants is needed. Friday, Jan. 22 is the date for the next Toonie movie, "The Judge", starring Robert Duval and Robert Downey Jr. Your toonie (or $3 non/member) pays your admission to the movie plus popcorn and a drink. Movie starts at 1 p.m. but come in early and share in a slice of pizza for $2.50. Procedures for inclement weather are in place. The Hillsview Active Living Centre follows the Town of Halton Hills Inclement Weather Procedures. Your best source of information as to possible Centre closure is to call 905-873-2601 ext. 2271. There will be a message on the phone reflecting up- dates. Just inside the entrance, beside the folding doors you will see a diagram in- dicating the room locations and names of all our spaces or rooms. Try to familiarize yourself with these as room spaces are be- ing titled rather than numbered. Temporary signage indicates the loca- tion of the two new washrooms in the new area. Maybe even by the time you read this the new signage will be in place. Look for the green neon sign inside and outside for opening and closing. Be patient! They are slow to open and close. Tuesday, Jan. 26 is your last opportunity to sign up for the Mystery Trip. Hope you decide to join us.
