Head for the Hills, held at Trafalgar Sports Park in September, raised $5,000 for the Food4Kids charity. Photo by Steve Frost First craft beer festival in Halton Hills raises $5,000 for Food4Kids The inaugural Georgetown Craft Beer Festi- val, a.k.a. Head for the Hills, held at Trafalgar Sports Park in September, raised $5,000 for the Food4Kids charity. A cheque was presented to the charity re- cently. The event is run by four service clubs from Georgetown-- Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary and Kinsmen. "The September event was a great suc- cess and we hope to grow and improve it this year, Sept. 17, 2016 at the Trafalgar Sports Park," said the clubs in a press release. Food4Kids provides packages of healthy food for kids, ages 5-14, with limited or no access to food each weekend. The food, pre- pared by volunteers, are delivered to schools each Friday. There are approximately 1,200 children in Hamilton and 400 in Halton who are being served by this program. It is 100 per cent funded through donations or one-time grants.
