NEWS Power was out for several businesses along Guelph St. near Sinclair Ave. last Thursday afternoon due to a blown transformer box and service wasn't restored until approxi- mately 8 p.m. Crews from Halton Hills Hydro and the Halton Hills Fire Department were on scene and many businesses in Ward 4, including the Tim Hortons and Swiss Chalet/Harvey's Restaurants, had sent their employees home and closed by 4:30 p.m. The right eastbound lane of Guelph St. was also closed to rush-hour traffic, creating a bit of a backup at times.
