The promotion was part of a contest being run from December 15th to January 25th. Benjamin is planning to be married in June and the winning will certainly help to go towards the costs. Photo by Ray Lavender Puck drops on Acton Arena naming contest The newly expanded Acton Arena was officially re- opened on Saturday. The community turned out to see the addi- tional NHL-size ice pad, open lobby viewing area, multi-purpose room and a new elevator to access the second floor viewing areas of both rinks. In addition to the community celebration, Mayor Bonnette and members of Council hosted a Donor Recognition Reception to celebrate the contributions of more than 55 individuals/ groups. Ice pad donor, Dufferin Aggregates, a division of CRH Canada Group Inc., has decided that in- stead of naming the pad after their company, they have put the challenge out to the Halton Hills com- munity and have launched an Ice Pad Naming Contest. Residents have the opportunity to name both of the ice pads at the Acton Arena and Com- munity Centre. Visit haltonhills.ca to submit your idea for one of the ice pads. Contest winners will take home a new iPad mini.
