The findings are part of the local LHIN's recently released 2016-19 Integrated Health Service Plan: Partnering for a Healthy Community. "We are energized by the di- rection in which we are head- ing," said Graeme Goebelle, Mississauga Halton LHIN board chair. "The plan represents the voic- es of our citizens and identifies what is needed to build a stron- ger system of care that focuses on the needs of the diverse peo- ple living in our com- munity." Through vari- ous engage- m e n t s , LHIN staff heard from those who p r o v i d e and receive care in the Mississauga Hal- ton LHIN. "Partnering for a healthy community represents what is most important to people -- get- ting the care they need when they need it; ensuring resources are available, now and in the future; and having a good care experience and positive o u t c o m e when they use the h e a l t h c a r e system," stated a m e d i a release. T h e three prior- ities identi- fied by the Mississauga Halton LHIN for the next three years are, ensuring: • access to health care is there when and where it's needed; • the capacity for required re- sources now and in the future; • quality -- positive experi- ences and outcomes from pa- tients. "As the health-care system continues to evolve, we remain pivotal in health system trans- formation and are committed to putting people and patients first by improving the health-care experience," said Bill MacLeod, Mississauga Halton LHIN CEO. "We continue to monitor our progress and be flexible in our approach to meet the changing needs of our residents."
