By Sharon Graham Acton Legion news Submissions for the Ice Pad Naming Contest are due by March 20, by 11:59 p.m. It's your last chance to submit a name for the ice pads at the Acton Arena and Community Centre! A donation for the new ice pad was provided by Dufferin Aggregates, a member of CRH Cana- da Group Inc. As a major employer and part of the local community, Dufferin Aggregates has a long- term commitment to its neighbours and is part of the foundation for building healthy, vibrant and livable communities. Dufferin operates 12 sites in Ontario, including the Acton Quarry site. "We would like to thank Dufferin Aggregates, a member of CRH Canada Group Inc. for their con- tribution to the Stay at Home and Play Campaign. Instead of naming the pad after their company, they wanted to put the challenge out to the com- munity" said Mayor Rick Bonnette. Residents can submit their naming idea at haltonhills.ca/namingcontest or at any Town facility. The name(s) should be based on one or more of the following values: sportsmanship, lo- cal heritage, community, and culture Winners will win an iPad mini. Last call to name an Acton ice pad
