Kori and Dan Misturada of Georgetown welcomed daughter Riley Laura Catherine into the world at 12:22 a.m. on New Year's Day. Riley, weighing in at seven pounds and nine ounces, is the couple's third child, joining Josh- ua and Faith, and was actually due on Dec. 30. "I guess she wanted to wait for the (New Year's) party," laughed Kori. Assisting with the birth were midwives Shirley Meltzer and Katie Lyons. Riley was also the first baby born in Halton this year, beating out the hospitals in Milton and Oakville for the honour. Ontario Provincial Police closed the highway between Crewsons Corners and Dublin Line for a few hours following the 6 a.m. incident, in which the vehicle left the roadway and rolled into a hydro pole.
