A 30-year-old man has been charged with the at- tempted murder of his fa- ther following an incident in Halton Hills late last month. Halton Regional Police responded to a call of a do- mestic disturbance at a residence on Friday, Dec. 29 at approximately 11:45 a.m. An initial report indi- cated that a male had been stabbed at that location, and when officers arrived, a male was located outside the home with a number of serious injuries, including stab wounds. A second male was found inside the home with a serious stab wound and both men were trans- ported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A deceased dog was also found inside the residence. On Tuesday (Jan. 2), a Halton Hills man was for- mally charged with at- tempted murder, uttering death threats, killing an animal and failing to com- ply with recognizance. The accused was re- manded into custody and remains in hospital. The name of the ac- cused and the location of the incident are not being released to protect the identity of the victim. The victim and accused are both are expected to survive.
