The study will evaluate service alternatives and explore opportunities for a made-in-Halton Hills transit solution to meet the current and future mobility needs of the community. The Town has retained WSP Canada Group Ltd. to develop the Transit Service Strategy which will be completed in 2019. Over the next 18 months, consultation activities will be used to engage the public and businesses to identify the issues, opportunities, and challenges for developing a transit service strategy for the community. Through the consultation process, residents and businesses will help to identify solutions that will support the development of a strategy that aligns with the Town of Halton Hills Strategic Action Plan and address the needs of the community. JANUARY 2018 NOTICE OF PASSAGE OF BY-LAW NO. 2018-0004 haltonhills.ca Glen Williams Mature Neighbourhood Study - Steering Committee Membership Opportunity The Town of Halton Hills is seeking volunteers who are interested in serving on the Steering Committee for the Glen Williams Mature Neighbourhood Study. This Study will examine the issue of large home re-builds in the older, established residential neighbourhoods of Glen Williams to determine if the regulatory framework of the Town's Zoning By-law is effective in maintaining the character and integrity of these neighbourhoods. More information on the Study can be obtained from the Town's website at www. haltonhills.ca/GlenWilliamsNeighbourhoodStudy/index.php The role of the Steering Committee will be to: • provide comments during the study process; • assist with issue identification and resolution; • liaise with key community stakeholders to ensure study awareness; and, • meet as needed, to monitor the progress of the study. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible to serve on the Steering Committee, applicants must: • be a resident and/or land owner of property in Glen Williams; • be over the age of 18 years; • demonstrate a strong knowledge or interest in maintaining the character of of Glen Williams; and, • not be employed by the Town of Halton Hills.
