3| The IFP -H alton H ills | T hursday,January 18,2018 theifp.ca The Halton Hills Cham- ber of Commerce believes there are many discus- sions happening in the business world, and they have created a forum where people can talk about them. Politics Unplugged is aimed at a business audi- ence, focusing on ques- tions that are business-re- lated. Chamber manager Kathleen Dills said she an- ticipates discussions on transit and transportation, business competitiveness, international trade, tax and employment. Other, broader topics, such as the state of the economy, are al- so up for discussion. Every year, the cham- ber's economic develop- ment committee discusses initiatives for the year, and plans for Politics Un- plugged started last year. "This is a chance to dis- cuss game-changing issues as a community and hear perspectives from our elected officials," Dills wrote in an email, noting Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott and MP Michael Chong will be in attendance Thursday night. On Jan. 18, Politics Un- plugged will take place at the Club at North Halton. The forum is for business people, and is available to chamber of commerce members.
