Head coach Dave Pfohl asked the play- ers to find sponsors to contribute cash for each goal scored by the Thunder in the reg- ular season. The final tally was 112, trans- lating into $1,770 that has been donated to Cancer Assistance Services Halton Hills (CASHH). "It really hit home," said Pfohl about the diagnoses for Bahr and Fitzgerald, who both have a positive prognosis following treatments. "We brainstormed and came up with an idea to motivate the kids to score goals and make it meaningful by raising money. Some of the kids really went the extra mile."
