This gentle giant was an unconditional source of comfort, love and support to all those who knew him. Riley loved watching planes cross the sky, often stopping in mid action when he heard their engines. He also liked to watch TV, especially sports while snuggling on the couch. He was affectionately known as Referee Riley at the Cedarvale dog park by the daily 9 a.m. "usual suspects" and canine friends; Casey, Ellie, Jazz, Sam, Bain, Nike, Maverick, and Piper (a couple of which gave Riles dog kisses goodbye at his last dog park appearance June 1st). Thank you to everyone there for your thoughts and kind words of support. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the following: Halton Hills Veterinary Clinic - - Dr. Tony, for his compassionate approach - Clinic receptionists, who answered all of our questions without reservation - Dr. Aviva, who was able to care for Riley in our home as he passed on without having to move him to the clinic. Thank you to our neighbour, Carla Hansford and our cousin George Burdett who were present to assist Dr. Aviva in Riley's hour of need. - Ruffins Pet Store - Monica and her staff, and Brenda - Riley's groomer who always made him look dapper.
