The Conservative MPP has been the provincial representative for Wel- lington, and subsequent- ly Wellington-Halton Hills for over 28 years. Arnott won again against NDP candidate Diane Ballantyne, who received 14,087 votes, Lib- eral candidate Jon Hurst, who received 7,492 votes and Green party candi- date Dave Rodgers who received 5,066 votes. "The winds of change have swept across Onta- rio," said Arnott, smiling to the crowd inside the Fergus Curling Club as they chanted "Ted, Ted, Ted." He thanked his sup- porters, organizers and family for the continued support. "It inspires me to get back to work tomorrow morning," he said. "Across Ontario, there are good people that have been elected, and there are good people who have been defeated," said Ar- nott, adding that his op- ponents "are no longer our opponents, they are John, Diane and Dave."
